Amherst

Gurudarshan Morse has received his master’s degree in mathematics education from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City.

Luke Aldrich has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. Aldrich is a junior in the college of biological sciences.

Rebecca Carkhuff has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Becker College in Worcester.

Nicole McCann, a tennis player at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, has been named an ITA 2017 Division III Scholar Athlete by The Intercollegiate Tennis Association. McCann previously attended Amherst-Pelham Regional High School.

Belchertown

Joanna Kowalski graduated from Ithaca College’s School of Humanities and Sciences in Ithaca, New York, with a degree in art history.

Elizabeth Amato has been named to the spring semester dean’s list at Becker College in Worcester.

Dennis Lelic will attend State University of New York at Oswego in Oswego, New York. He last attended Belchertown High School and intends to major in computer science.

Pelham

Pearl H. Burgoff received a $4,000 scholarship from the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts. Burgoff studies marking at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her father, James, is a member of Pacific Lodge in Amherst.

Dunkin’ Donuts scholarship winners

Western Massachusetts Dunkin’ Donuts franchises have awarded $1,000 scholarships to local students. The scholarship program has awarded over $595,000 to Western Massachusetts students, to date. Local honorees include Maya Dechiara, of Shutesbury.

Ithaca College

Recent local graduates of the college in Ithaca, New York, include Cienna Lyon and Shannon O’Leary, both of Belchertown, and Elizabeth Mabee and Christine Adams, both of Amherst.

The following local students were named to the spring semester dean’s list at Ithaca College:

Clare Kelly of Amherst; Rebecca Harrington of South Deerfield; and Zoe Barker of Sunderland.

MCPHS University

The following local students have been named to the spring semester dean’s list at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Boston:

Amherst: Allison Lam, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical and health care business, class of 2018.

Belchertown: Angela Martoccia Grabazs,pursuing a doctorate degree of pharmacy, class of 2022; Urvi Patel, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in premedical and health studies (physician assistant studies), class of 2018.

Nichols College

The following local students were named to the spring semester dean’s list at the college in Dudley:

Laura Freeman, Christopher Noga, and Lauren Noga, all of Belchertown, and Megan Gardner of South Deerfield. Lauren Noga also received her degree from the university this spring.
