Music at UMass

A faculty violin recital will be presented Jan. 22 at 8 p.m. in Bazanson Recital Hall at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Elizabeth Chang will perform with guest pianist Judith Gordon. On the program: musical works by J.S. Bach, Stefan Wolpe and George Enescu.

∎ On Jan. 24 at 8 p.m., pianist Christopher Guzman will perform, also in Bezanson Recital Hall.

On the program: Beethoven’s Sonata in E Major, Op. 109; Stucky’s “Three Little Variations for David”; and Grieg’s Ballade in the form of Variations on a Norwegian Melody, Op. 24.

A masterclass with UMass student pianists will follow the concert.

Tickets for both concerts cost $10; $3 for UMass Amherst students; $5 for other students, seniors and children under 18. To reserve, call the UMass Fine Arts Center box office at 545-2511 or visit fac.umass.edu/musicanddance.
