Burning bush

Barberries

Autumn olive

Honeysuckles (certain ones)

Yellow flag iris

Dame's Rocket

Goutweed

Purple loosestrife

Multiflora rose

Try these instead:

Sugar maple

Tupelo

Blueberries

Chokeberry

Fothergilla

Deciduous hollies

Native viburnums

Lobelias, both blue and red

Culver's root

Virgin's bower

Virginia creeper
