Garden report: the pulminaria has bloomed as has the dandelions. I planted radish seeds in a raised bed. The bugs are back, saw a mosquito and wasp and other flying winged creatures.

The Sustainably Festival is Saturday, April 26 on the Town Common from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lots of information, local groups, food, vendors, entertainment. It’s free.

The annual Daffodil Run to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hampshire County will be held Sunday, April 27 at 10 a.m. on the Town Common. There is a 5K-walk and run and a 10K run. Food and activities follow the run.

An Arbor Day Tree Identification Stroll with Dan Ziomek, will be held Sunday, April 27 at 4 p.m. at Wildwood Cemetery, according to an email from Rebecca Fricke of Amherst. The stroll is free but donations are welcome.

A Gospel Choir Concert to benefit the ABC ( A Better Chance) program will be held Tuesday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Church. The Amherst Area Gospel Choir will be featured as well as the UMass Gospel Choir and the Amherst Regional High School Hurricane Singers.

Tickets at the door. There was a full house at last year’s program so go early to get a seat.

Matteo Pangello of Shutesbury sent an email about a Bard in the Bar project reading “Richard III” May 4 at 6 p.m. at Precision Brewing in Northampton to benefit Community Action Pioneer Valley. He is president of Valley Players, which has held two previous Bard in the Bar readings. You can participate in the reading or just listen.

The Northampton Center for the Arts is holding a fundraiser, Revelry 33 There’s No Place Like Home, Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at the center at 33 Hawley St., according to an email from center co-director Kelly Silliman. The event features music, performances, art sales and a silent auction.
