Steve Prothers: Smiling faces, going places

Tuesday, February 22, 2022

I am writing to recognize two civil servants on the front lines of the United States Postal Service in Amherst. This dynamic pair of ladies have been a constant source of compassion and kindness in their roles of customer service to the public for as long as I can remember.

While assisting the numerous customers who come through their doors on a daily basis, anyone who has come into contact with either Nancy or Denise has been treated with genuine respect and assurance that their letter or package will safely travel to its destination.

While many still rely on this method of transportation and communication, it shouldn’t be taken for granted. These two smiling faces put a positive high note on service beyond the call, while attending to the complexities in which they handle. Our local community should be grateful for their service and appreciative of their warm personalities.

Now, more than ever, mindfulness matters.
