The town of Leverett is home to a unique resource. This is a former Christmas tree farm now known as the Blueberry Patch kindly donated by Gordon S. King for community use. Recently its accessibility has been unjustly obstructed by no trespassing signs and an unsightly fence.

This is a legal easement which history and deeds confirm. This act is an encroachment on public space. This undermines the intention of the King family, taking away the joy of families who use the easement, and it’s against community spirit.

I am calling on individuals and local authorities to intervene and rectify this obstruction. Accessibility needs to be restored from 101 Shutesbury Road, Leverett immediately.
