HADLEY — A new public affairs program featuring interviews with local officials and residents, sponsored by the Hadley Senior Center, continues this week.

On Thursday, “Hadley Matters” featured a conversation between Town Administrator Carolyn Brennan and Sharon Howard, a senior center volunteer.

The concept for talking to people who have information to share with the community comes from program coordinator Violet Suska, said Select Board member Jane Nevinsmith. The program is set to be held on the first Thursday of each month.

Promotional material for “Hadley Matters” states, “As you all know, Hadley is a ‘happening town.’ There is so much going on here that it is hard to keep up.”

To get a link to the live Zoom meeting, call the senior center at 586-4023, ext. 2.

Nevinsmith said the hope is to eventually transition the program from a virtual format to one done in person when it is safe to do so.

Brennan is expected to talk about her role at Town Hall, how she became a “municipal government junkie,” and her personal interests.

The first “Hadley Matters” was held last month to understand property taxes.
