Kudos to the cast and crew of “Peter Pan.” Anna Plummer was splendid in the role of Peter. A total of five people flew, amazing.

Jennifer Page of Amherst, who played a pirate, wrote that there were several parent-child duos as well as several sibling pairs. “It truly is Community Theater,” she wrote. Performances continue this weekend.

Reynolds Winslow of Amherst wrote in an email that the Martin Luther King Breakfast on Saturday Jan. 19 at the Regional Middle School will feature story teller and musician Esau Bumpus as speaker. Residents can share in a memorial tribute to the late Judy Brooks, he wrote.

Robin Blaetz of Amherst sent a postcard from Hoboken, N.J. as promised.

The card pictured historic buildings such as a church, City Hall, library and railroad terminal well as the new skyline of high rise buildings, which I never would have recognized. They were there to celebrate Meredith Spencer-Blaetz’s 30th birthday.

“It was a blast,” she wrote.

Lucy McMurrer of Amherst sent an email about 18-hole Mini Golf Classic in the Jones Library Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. -5 p.m. The event, sponsored by the UMass Five College Credit Union, is a fundraiser for the library. The Amherst Club, of which I am member, is sponsoring a hole as are other businesses and organizations.

Full disclosure: I am a member of the Friends of the Jones Library, which organized the event.

The golf game is part of Winter Fest organized by Amherst’s LSSE Department. The schedule includes the 2nd annual Cribbage Tournament, which I am organizing to benefit the Senior Center, where we play every Friday. The tournament is Feb. 9 with doors open at 8:30 a.m. at the Police Station Community Room. Donation is $10. Call me to save a seat.

Adrienne Terrizzi of the League of Women Voters Amherst wrote that Barbara Pearson of Amherst is organizing residents to march in the Pioneer Valley Wave Sister March Jan. 19 at noon at Sheldon Field in Northampton. You don’t have to be a League member to participate.

Full disclosure: I am a member of the League.
