Hannah Desmond Warren, the daughter of Mark Warren and Katherine Desmond of Amherst, graduated from the School of Public Health at the University of California Berkeley with a Masters of Public Health degree. She was a graduate of Beloit College in 2013 and an ARHS graduate in 2009. “We are so very proud! ” her parents wrote in an email.

David Sharken wrote in an email that I misread the Puffer’s Pond flyer. The restaurants cited in last week’s column will allow volunteers to set up tables asking for donations and sell merchandise. They won’t be donating a portion of sales. However, it’s still nice to have breakfast and lunch at local restaurants.

The annual Family Outreach of Amherst fundraiser Light up the Night will be held June 14 at a downtown backyard. The event includes dinner, music, and a silent and live auction.

I will also be at the Taste of Amherst that runs on the Town Common from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, and from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday. Lots of good food, entertainment, and a chance to see neighbors and friends.
