Ann Kieser of Amherst sent a postcard picturing Meteora, a monastery of Rousanou in Greece. She visited a hanging monastery that is now a nunnery. She said the county and islands are very diverse, with mountains, sparkling blue water, friendly people and great food, especially the olives.

The Fire Department recommends checking smoke and carbon detectors when the clocks change. I have the detectors that don’t need batteries changed and last for 10 years. However, one detector kept going off for no reason and I don’t think it reached the 10-year limit. But I replaced it. I am keeping the sales slip.
