Paula Green, a longtime resident of Leverett, and dedicated peacemaker, passed on Feb. 22. She had a smile and laugh that lit up many dark places in the world. She lived her values of listening, compassion, and joy. She had the equanimity to bring together people whose histories taught them to fear and hate each other.

Her heart had the capacity to hold and transcend polarity. Her compassion and understanding were contagious. She was indeed a peacemaker. And she loved adventure, exploration, and challenges here in America and all around the world. She was always eager to share good stories, experiences, and celebrations. I am grateful for her life and her friendship.
