Amherst Police

* Brett Jalbert, 28, of North Pleasant Street, was arrested Jan. 25 at 2:50 a.m. at an Amherst home on a charge of domestic assault and battery after he pushed a woman to the ground, police said.

The woman was not injured, police said.

Dorothy A. Carr, 93, formerly of Amherst, passed away peacefully at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Leeds on Jan. 29, 2010, surrounded by her family.
