Valley Light Opera’s YouTube special

This is a letter for all musical theater lovers and especially for Valley Light Opera patrons, supporters and participants who have enjoyed our fall productions during the last 45 years, whether at Amherst Regional High School or at the Academy of Music.

As disappointed as we are that we cannot present a live show to celebrate this important milestone, we will not leave you without theatrical and musical enjoyment. We invite you, instead, to open the Valley Light Opera’s YouTube channel to view, “If You Want to Know Who We Are, or, VLO, Then and Now.” This feature-length video, narrated by founding member Michael Greenbaum, highlights the company’s origins in the 1970s though audio clips and photographs from our early shows.

The video then brings us into the 21st century with more recent video clips and photographs. Both acts include commentaries by actors and production crew members highlighting individual memories of various VLO productions. You might have to wait another year for our production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Pirates of Penzance,” but we hope in the meantime, you will enjoy this new video and many other short videos on our YouTube channel.
