The Lehrer Report: March 15, 2024

Garden report: If the weather reaches 50-60 degrees this week, my daffodils should open. The daffodils are in a bed on the south side of the house, close to the foundation, so get the warmth. The tulips and daylily shoots are also up several inches.

If it is sunny and 50 degrees this week I can start hanging laundry outside.

The sun and warmth herald spring, which starts next week. However, it will be several weeks before I put away the winter coat and mittens. We have had snow in April.

The Amherst Regional High School musical, “Nice Work If You Can Get It” was splendid. The quality of the voices of the lead singers was first rate, very impressive. Such an undertaking requires dozens of students doing lighting, props, makeup, music, etc. Congratulations to all who gave us such a wonderful program.
