HADLEY — An allergy alert to recall six-packs of Banana Chocolate Chip Muffins has been issued by Whole Foods Market in Hadley because of an in-store labeling error.

The muffins contained walnuts, which was not declared on the ingredient list, the company announced Monday.

Those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to walnuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat these muffins.

One allergic reaction has been reported.

The “Made Right Here 6pk Banana Choc Chip Muffins” were sold in clear, plastic containers with a “sell by” date of March 28.

The company said customers who purchased the product may bring their receipt to the store for a full refund. The store can be contacted at 413-586-9932.
