Amherst Club disburses funds

The Amherst Club distributed funds to 16 local organizations from the proceeds of its Love Notes benefit. The event was very successful and two additional groups were funded in addition to the 14 applicants originally selected. The club had originally allocated $13,000 but distributed $18,200.
The recipients are: the Amherst A Better Chance program, ACT NOW!, All Out Adventures, the Amherst Family Center, the Amherst Senior Center, the Amherst Survival Center, the Ann Whalen Wellness Program the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, Greenfield Community College Transition Program, Hampshire Health Connect, the Jones Library ESL Center, the Men's Resource Center for Change, Not Bread Alone, Reader to Reader, Safe Passage and the Youth Action Coalition.
The Amherst Club, founded in 1983, is a service organization of men and women with a mission to serve the community.
